Saje Natural Wellness had built an exceptionally loyal community around natural wellness, but the brand wanted to deepen that relationship beyond retail stores, products and social media.
The challenge was familiar to many wellness brands.
Consumers were surrounded by health advice, much of it overwhelming, contradictory or prescriptive. Producing another podcast filled with experts telling listeners what they should do would simply add more noise.
Saje wanted to create something different.
The goal wasn’t to sell products. It was to create a trusted space where conversations about physical, emotional and mental wellbeing felt approachable, encouraging and genuinely helpful.
Together, JAR and Saje Natural Wellness created Well Now, a podcast designed to feel less like a lecture and more like an honest conversation.
Each episode explored topics including stress, sleep, mental health, relationships and personal wellbeing through thoughtful interviews with experts, practitioners and storytellers. Rather than positioning Saje as the source of every answer, the podcast encouraged curiosity, reflection and practical learning while allowing listeners to make their own decisions.
JAR partnered with Saje throughout the entire production process, including:
Every editorial decision was guided by one question:
Would listeners finish this episode feeling supported rather than sold to?
Saje already had credibility in natural wellness.
The challenge wasn’t building authority.
It was creating a format that reflected the empathy customers already associated with the brand.
The JAR System shifted the focus away from product education and toward audience transformation. Instead of asking how the podcast could explain wellness, it asked how it could help listeners feel more confident navigating it.
That subtle change influenced everything from guest selection and editorial tone to episode structure and storytelling.
The result was a podcast that felt like an extension of Saje’s values instead of another branded content channel.
The JAR System helped transform Well Now into a trusted relationship rather than a branded advice series.
| Before | After applying the JAR System |
|---|---|
| Promote wellness products | Support listeners on their wellness journey |
| Deliver expert advice | Create thoughtful conversations people wanted to return to |
| Tell people what to do | Help people discover what works for them |
| Build product awareness | Build emotional trust |
| Produce branded content | Create an ongoing relationship around wellbeing |
People rarely build relationships with brands because they receive more information.
They build relationships because they feel understood.
Saje already had expertise in natural wellness, but expertise alone wasn’t what made the podcast valuable. By defining the podcast’s job before production began, the JAR System transformed that expertise into conversations listeners genuinely wanted to spend time with.
The result wasn’t simply strong engagement. It was a branded podcast that strengthened customer loyalty by creating trust long before a purchasing decision was ever made.
Before development began, JAR worked with Saje to define the podcast’s Job, Audience and Result.
Help listeners feel more informed, supported and confident in their wellness journey without telling them how to live.
People who were curious about improving their wellbeing through practical, balanced conversations rooted in empathy rather than perfection.
Build deeper emotional relationships with existing customers while introducing new audiences to the values that define the Saje brand.
Once those three decisions were made, every editorial choice became clearer.
Listeners stayed engaged throughout each episode, producing an exceptional 95% average consumption rate, substantially above industry norms.
Approximately 85% of listeners identified as female, closely matching Saje’s core customer community and demonstrating strong audience alignment.
More than half of listeners were under 34, helping Saje strengthen relationships with younger consumers interested in natural wellness.
Rather than interrupting customers with advertising, Well Now created a destination where listeners voluntarily spent meaningful time with the Saje brand through thoughtful conversations that reflected its mission and values.
“I love this podcast! It’s chock-full of great content, interviews and practical wellness advice. Highly recommended!”
