How Kyndryl Turned Hybrid Work Into a Podcast for IT Leaders

JAR helped Kyndryl and IDC create a three-part podcast that translated the future of work into practical conversations for IT leaders, COOs and other senior decision-makers. Hybrid work was suddenly everybody’s problem. The pandemic had changed where people worked almost overnight. But for the people responsible for technology, operations and employee experience, the real questions were only beginning. How should companies equip distributed teams? What does a good employee experience actually look like? Where do automation, AI, analytics and data fit? And how do you make hybrid work better without simply adding more technology? Kyndryl had deep expertise in all of those areas. The challenge was turning that expertise into something useful for senior leaders who were already drowning in commentary about the “future of work.” Another broad discussion about remote work wasn’t going to be enough. The show needed to get practical. JAR worked with Kyndryl and IDC to create Making Hybrid Work, a three-part podcast about what it actually takes to build a better distributed workplace. The series brought together IDC research and Kyndryl expertise around three practical questions: The Human Side of Hybrid Work How do organizations design hybrid workplaces around people rather than simply technology? How Modern, Meaningful and Measurable Is Your Employee Experience? What does a better employee experience look like, and how can organizations tell whether they are actually improving it? Solving the Employee Experience Puzzle How do technology, data, automation and workplace design fit together? The series featured IDC leaders Matt Eastwood and Amy Loomis alongside Kyndryl experts Sarah B. Nelson, Ron Xavier and Dennis Perpetua. That combination was important. The show wasn’t built around Kyndryl talking about Kyndryl. IDC brought research and an outside perspective. Kyndryl brought experience from inside complex enterprise technology environments. JAR helped turn those perspectives into structured conversations that moved from the big workplace question into something useful for the audience. We supported the strategy, editorial development, research and writing, guest preparation, recording, audio production, distribution and performance analysis. And because it was a limited series, each episode needed to earn its place. Three episodes. Three clear questions. No filler.
